Skymed Nepal recently hosted a highly successful implantology course, led by the esteemed Dr. Ali Tunkiwala, which saw an overwhelming turnout of over 90 participants.
The two-day course was designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, covering both single and full-arch implant workflows. Day one focused on complex implant procedures, such as principles of implant placement, socket management protocols, and strategies for managing severe wear cases. Participants were engaged in interactive treatment planning sessions and hands-on workshops that allowed them to practice partial extraction therapy and immediate molar placement.
On day two, the course shifted focus to full-arch implant workflows, comparing guided and freehand implant placements, reviewing prosthetic workflows, and exploring zirconia solutions for full-arch cases. The hands-on workshops offered practical training in tilted implant placements and converting dense PMMA into screw-retained prostheses. The course was a resounding success, leaving participants well-equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle complex implant scenarios in their own practices.
